today pieces of my heart lie shattered on the floor
they are bleeding and open wounds
by others taken advantage of
in ways i never thought possible
a fool in love blinded by love
to see the truth
of a meddling once trusted friend

but a fool in love true to his feelings
for one true to his hearts desires
feelings once shared now lost
for the meddling of others
love is not taken lightly
nor trust broken
friendship will remain
for feelings are deeply embedded
for the one i love

my hearts pieces i will pick up
slowly mend and stitch with time
for the heart is for the one true
love i feel one true heart I've
shared molded by life's similar paths
shared in trust and shared in love
are feelings never felt before
once in a lifetime feelings


they comfort the soul in voice
the comfort the soul in letters
move the person to new places
create new life from love shared
with these feelings and love felt
i still have my pride
