A small, easy to carry Digital SLR (DSLR) that brings the fun back to taking imaginative pictures and makes it easier than ever. This camera brings aspiring photographers, outstanding pictures and simplicity of use together perfectly. The EOS 600D is leading the list of Canon’s entry-level EOS line. It tops the EOS 550D and the new EOS 1100D.
Thanks to the vast array of automatic shooting modes, it has never been easier to take Full HD video or capture spectacular photographs. Canon even included a Feature Guide to the user interface so you can learn about the camera as you use it, and improve your skills as a photographer. Your shooting is enhanced with the Speedlites, unrivalled range of EF lenses, and large assortment of accessories. With the EOS system your shots are perfect no matter where you are or what you shoot.

First-class image quality
The high-resolution 18 Megapixel (MP) APS-CCMOS sensor combined with the 14-bit DIGIC 4 processor make the EOS 600D the only choice for beautiful photographs with amazing detail and breathtaking HD movies. The EOS 600D captures the magnificence of a beautiful blue sky with all of its colour gradients. Natural images are captured in low light conditions with an ISO range of 100-6400 that can be expanded to a full 12800.
The EOS600D has a high-speed capability of 3.7 frames per second, perfect for taking pictures of children, pets or sports events. The 9-point Auto Focus system will let you shoot fast moving action with sharp detail. Add even better focusing with the ultra sensitive central AF Sensor and the added assurance of the best exposure with the iFCL Metering system and you can’t go wrong, even in poor lighting situations.
Easy shooting, amazing results
You can easily capture fantastic high quality pictures with the new fully-automatic Scene Intelligent Auto mode. You can focus on framing your picture while the Scene Intelligent Auto mode analyses the scene and automatically picks the optimum settings to get the picture. The Auto Picture Style fine tunes the colours while you focus on photographing the scene you want.
The EOS600D comes equipped with Basic+ that allows you to change the atmosphere of a scene by picking one of eight moods, including ‘warm’, ’cool’, or ‘intense’. It doesn’t matter if you are photographing portraits or landscapes, even macro pictures will be perfect with Basic+.
Simple, flexible, artistic
The Feature Guide makes the EOS600D perfect for new photographers. It helps you understand each key setting and the effect. You will learn about the camera while you use it.
You can also shoot overhead, at ground level or around corners with the EOS 600D’s
Vari-angle 7.7cm 3:2 ratio ClearView LCD. Rich on-screen detail is provided in 1.04 million-dot resolution, and the side-mounted hinge gives you the ability to comfortably and artistically shoot from a variety of remarkable angles. A smudge-resistant fluorine coating along with the three anti-reflection coatings ensure you can see the LCD clearly, wherever you are.
The EOS 600D is perfect for experimenting with different Creative Filters, permiting you to brand your own personality in your shots. The Fish-eye-Effect creates a barrel-shaped distortion similar to a fish-eye lens, and you can immediately turn a scene into a small-scale model with Miniature Effect.
Toy Camera Effect, Grainy B/W and Soft Focus offer additional options that give you the ability to experiment with your pictures in many different ways.
Capture stunning detail with EOS movie
Clearly capture your memories with Full HD (1080p) movie mode. The dedicated movie shooting mode lets you switch between stills and HD video instantly. You can also bring in distant subjects using new Movie Digital Zoom function. The Movie Digital Zoom crops the centre of the sensor from 3x to 10x while still maintaining Full HD quality, perfect for capturing wildlife when in the wild.
Video Snapshot gives you the ability to take more engaging videos. It lets you take two, four, or eight second video clips, making segments that are short, easily edited and much like those used in most TV programs. The clips are saved in the Video Snapshot Album, as they are taken, where they are combined to make one movie. You can upload soundtracks to add, right on the camera. When done you can watch the finished product right on the camera’s LCD. Or you can put view it on a HDTV with the built-in mini HDMI connector.
The EOS system – unrestricted creativity
The EOS600D grows with you. As your photography skills improve there is an unrivalled selection of EF lenses and a vast array of accessories available as part of Canon’s EOS product line. There are over 60 lenses that you can add to your camera bag. Macro lenses for extreme close-ups, wide-angle lenses for grandiose landscapes, and telephoto lenses to bring those distant shots up close and personal.
Using Canon’s range of Speedlite flashes and the EOS 600D’s Integrated
With the Speedlite Transmitter, you can experiment with various lighting choices, or use your flash off-camera to give your subject or scene a completely different look and feel. The Easy Wireless function lets the camera take care of the complicated settings while you concentrate on perfectly framing and lighting your scene.
